The song also peaked at number 42 on the Billboard disco chart in October 1980. The following month, the single topped the UK Indie Chart. The January 1980 version, which has become known as the "Pennine version", originally appeared as one of the single's B-sides. It is the latter version that appears on the 1988 Substance album.
